The burgers were awesome! The classic smash is probably the best bang for your buck that's comparable to In 'n Out because it's 2 smash burgers and 1 fries for $19. The buns are oh so soft and the cheesy patties are mouthwatering. I might try it next time with veggies. I've had the jalapeno burger another time and that was great, too, but not worth it over the classic smash. The fries were crispy on the outside and seasoned well. The only downside is that they had music BLASTING and I could barely hear my friend. But, I'm definitely going to hit them up again.

Best. Mascot. EVER. Clean with a lot of space so you dont feel crowded. Great service from counter to table to follow-up. The smashburgers are delicious and affordable, and they are good about additions and substitutions. The fries are great, coated in just enough season salt. They give you a lot too. Big thumbs up to Nathan, he delivers great service.

I'm sitting outside with my DogSon on their patio area, a man on a bike rides by and says "oh my God, this place smells so damn good and asks me if the food is good. And I reply yes. Hot Bunz makes smash burgers. The menu is straight forward. I had their newest burger the western smash. I'm bad at remembering to take pictures but the burger was good. The food here is as vibrant as restaurant portrays itself to be. Fries are thick and seasoned okay but not as good as McDonalds but they are generous with their portion and special are an option . The bun on the burger seemed particularly fresh. The place is clean outside and in, has a funny painting of their mascot beating up other burger joint mascots on their entrance. I've been getting ads from this place , and there's only 2 locations, here and Rancho Cardova. If you're bored of the repetitive of what Sacramento offers, hot Bunz offers something a little different, not too different but worth the check out I'll be back for the jalapeno burger when I've prepped my stomach for it

Holy smokes. This place is an absolute GEM in Elk Grove. Each order here comes with 2 sliders, but honestly, they're so big, that I'd think one order can feed two people for sure. Food came out quickly when my friend and I were here. The smash burgers were so juicy, tender, and filled with so much umami. The jalapeno sliders were perfect as the spice from the jalapeno cut right through that fatty meat. Highly recommend getting the Jalapeno one. The fries were great! Crispy and had a lot of crunch. Eat it with their house sauce and you are going to fall in love. They do come with a pricy tag of around $20 per order, but if you're planning to share with a friend, its pretty worth it! Worth the try!

At first I was on the fence about getting a burger here because they aren't made with lettuce (I like lettuce on my burgers). But once I saw that can be added, I was convinced! It was my first time here and I'm SOO GLAD it was Gaby who helped us order! She took her time to understand exactly what we wanted and helped us to customize our order. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and customer focused. I would come back just because of the level of customer service from Gaby. She really went above and beyond. Since the weather was nice out, we sat outside and enjoyed their outside patio.

I'm sorry but, yes, they are better than (you know who). It'll be hard to write this review without mentioning the competition by name, but I think we all know who Hot Bunz is out to copy. Ever since I heard about Hot Bunz, I had been wanting to try them out. Recently, I was able to try a jalapeño smash burger with frisky fries. I also grabbed some jalapeños and banana peppers on the side. The fries were excellent. Super extra. Unlike the competition, they start with heavily seasoned fries, and then add cheese, grilled onions, and secret sauce on top of that. The smash burger was fantastic. The meat was perfectly caramelized around the edges, and the potato bun was delicious. My meal cost about $20, which is about twice as much as I would pay for a meal with the competition. I definitely liked Hot Bunz better, but do I like them enough to pay twice as much? I'm not sure. But this was a really good meal, and I can definitely see myself dining here again.

Conveniently located off the exit on HWY 99 Cosumnes Blvd exit in the Target plaza shopping center, you'll find this hype of a burger joint. Simplicity of the menu of just burgers and fries with a few sides, shows how much attention to detail they'll have with so few options. The staff was sure to make every component of my order was made to perfection. The place itself was full of artwork designed with burgers and fries all around. Kudos to the artist! The burger itself with deliciously sloppy, crispy smashed patties that was well seasoned topped with gooey melted cheese and their house made sauce. The fries were seasoned perfectly without a single plain fry in sight that your taste buds will appreciate you for. The sauce is addictive and you can tell, they even have a tub on the side for you to self serve!
